Veiko took responsibility for the construction and technical side, giving new life to the old computing centre, though in a completely different form.
Inspired by the World
Every year, we travel to different countries to gather inspiration. The food cultures of Greece, Italy, Spain, India, Japan, Mexico, Africa, Thailand, France and many other countries have all left their mark on our kitchen and events.
From these experiences grew our dinner series “Travel Without Travelling!” — a flavour journey where guests can discover world cuisines and stories without ever leaving Haapsalu.
It is an experiential stay in Haapsalu that takes you on a journey through food, people, and memorable moments.

Our boutique hotel in Haapsalu operates on the principle that comfort and care can go hand in hand. We use energy-efficient solutions and prioritise local, natural resources to reduce our footprint and offer guests a truly eco-friendly hotel experience in Haapsalu.
Solar panels on the roof of our hotel help produce the energy we use for heating. In our parking area, guests can also find an electric car charging station. To save water, we have implemented mindful solutions throughout the hotel and encourage our guests to use water responsibly as well.
Our garden has been designed to provide flowers for bees throughout the summer, offering them a continuous source of nectar — supporting both nature and beauty together.

Intentional Breakfast
At Old Hapsal Hotel, breakfast is an essential part of our hospitality. We serve it buffet-style, but on smaller platters, allowing guests to sample a variety of dishes and take exactly as much as they wish. Throughout the morning, we replenish the platters continuously to ensure everything stays fresh until the very end. Our hostess Daire is often present at breakfast, sharing insights about the dishes and the small producers who supply our eggs, fish, juices, and other delicacies. This gives guests a clear understanding of the origin of each ingredient. Breakfast is a key part of our “bed and breakfast in Haapsalu” experience — something guests have repeatedly called one of the best in town. Our aim is to offer a fresh, varied, and high-quality breakfast that gives the day a truly pleasant start.

Here we are gradually gathering and sharing the dishes our guests love most — recipes born from our travels, from what we’ve learned in cooking schools, and from the knowledge shared by good friends. Now they are coming together in one place, so you too can cook along, experiment, and bring a little piece of Old Hapsal Hotel into your own kitchen. Here you’ll find both simple everyday dishes and more technical favourites that we serve at our events and dinners. Every recipe has been truly tested in our kitchen and praised many times by our guests. Food Lovers’ Club
The Old Hapsal Hotel Club Edition, also known as the Food Lovers’ Club, was born in Northeast Thailand in February 2026.
Some people do not come to Old Hapsal Hotel simply to dine. They come to experience, learn, discuss, taste, and sometimes even join us in the kitchen. From these guests, the OHH Food Lovers’ Club was created.
Our shared cooking experiences, immersive dinners, and food journeys were born from a desire to understand food from its very roots. Club members are united by a passion for world cuisines, food culture, and cooking together.
Club members can often be recognised by their chef jackets or personalised wine glass holders — symbols of taking part in OHH flavour journeys and the experiences shared together.
Anyone who has attended Old Hapsal Hotel events at least ten times is welcome to join the Food Lovers’ Club.
